Nintendo 3DS
 

Anyone here have a Nintendo 3DS? And did you get it before or after the price drop?

I want one. I was going to buy one while I was in Japan (They had a nice bundle when I was there) but the fact the damn thing is region-locked pisses me off to no end... I import most of my games. For all of my consoles.

When those brilliant, brilliant hackers figure out how to crack the region coding, I'll be the first in line to grab one.

I have been holding off and waiting for the release of at least one of my favorite colors.
I am also waiting to see if a new version will be released before I jump on the wagon. XD

List of current colors:
- Aqua Blue
- Cosmo Black
- Flame Red
- Pearl Pink
- Ice White (Japan and Europe Only)
- Cobalt Blue (Japan Only. Other country dates currently unknown)
- Midnight Purple (U.S. Only)

So far, the only two colors that haven't been publicly announced for release are the Green and Orange colored ones.

I don't really think 3DS is "that" great of a handheld.

And the 1st price was way too ridiculous.

I have to agree with you on that part. That's one reason the sales ratings were very poor during its launch year.
I pray they don't make the same mistake with the Wii U.

I heard the 3D effects in the 3DS also harm people.

To a certain extent they can.
That's why Nintendo added the ability to tone down the level of the 3D with the sidebar.

LOL.

It's still dangerous and careless for a company to harm their customers.
