Fifth Gen was actually not too bad story-wise.
However, the game alone could still have had major improvements though.
The worst Gen in my opinion was Fourth Generation. There were way too many pointless evolutions in that one.

I just get aggravated with the newer ones.
Why haven't they created a Pokemon yet where you can travel to the other regions?
In silver, Gold and Crystal you could go from Johto to the Kanto region.

I'd love to see more Pokemon games on the consoles. A sequel to Pokemon Snap and a game similar to Final Fantasy would be amazing :P

I think Pokemon Conquest would come close to that.

I think I remember hearing about it awhile ago but never stayed up to date with the details. Looks kind of interesting but too bad it's on the DS xD

I think it's something like a mash up of Pokemon and Nobunaga's Ambition.

It should play the same way as the FF games though.

Although, critics have been a little hard with it. XD

Just a few minor complaints.

As much as I would love to see a console-based Pokemon game (Not countless Spin-offs), I feel they are much more suited to the device they started on. Which would be handheld. XD

Why cant they just do something new instead?

It just feels like the same thing over and over again.
