Not very good at GFXing but here's some stuff I've done recently

I can honestly say that those are indeed a lot better than what I could normally come up with. XD
How long did it take you to complete those?

layering the image and using different filters like color doge and different opacity settings

On average 1-3 Hours seems to be the normal amount of time it takes

This is why it's disadvantageous of me to use Fireworks, I don't have the features to make them...

That 5th set looks familiar.

some very nice stuff you have there..
but all of your stuff have that lq feel with the grains, sharpens and too dark bits. and none of them have depth which comes from good play with light and dark and sharp/blur tools (tho even with all that, is hard for me to do the depth too :P )..
all in all good, can see improvments, just keep it up (:
