The First Edition Bundle is due to be released tomorrow.
Do any of you plan to buy one?
I personally think it looks pretty slick, but I'll hold off until a few months later. XP

It doesnt come out until the 22nd here but I'd be straight to buy one. I played with one in Game Station a few days ago and I thought it was amazing. Not many games but I don't give two craps about that.

I'm still attached to my original PSP. <3

I do like the look of the Vita, but the 3G capabilities of it in Australia are severly limited by the carried Sony chose... which threw a bucket of icewater over any spark of intrest I had for the console..

looks nice, but costs way too much in a lot of areas. I doubt I'll get it for a few years.

Early reviews of the console now that it's been released have been pretty favorable so far... except about the battery life.

Three bloody hours is NOT enough for a handheld, whatever it's capabilities are. >.>

I'll wait for the Vita version 2.0 that will undoubtedly be released in a little more than a year from now - because Sony will milk this cash cow for all it's worth, like they have with their last- wait, with all of their consoles to date. *nod*

People were telling me that it's battery life was superior to 3DS's.

This is pretty disappointing.

The battery is only 3 hours...? ._.

And according to some of the new hands-on reviews so far, it seems that games that use the touch screen and back panel more than than other games syphon the battery even faster...

Frankly, there aren't usually that many occasions that your going to be gaming straight for 3 hours outside of your house. It's not great, but for the system your getting, you can't expect too straight up battery life.

Also, it's damn handly on flights. I would have gone batshit insane on my recent trip to Japan if my PSP had conked out on me three hours into the eight it takes to fly to Osaka from here.


Also, I haven't had a chance to try one yet myself. None of the shops around here have demo models, which sucks.

Long haul flights are an issue, but the last I read anyway the battery life was 5 hours.
Still not amazing but it does cover some extra time.

With the sound off and the screen on the lowest brightness setting. XD

But yeah, that's better. And I suppose the are always extra battery packs...

When I was using a display model before they where released I found it quite good, a shop assistant really touted how good it was as well. I'll probably get one eventually, even if the battery life is slim because the games I played where amazing, especially for a handheld.

Places like airports and during flight hours would help to kill some time.

But even at maximum settings it has the 3DS's battery life beat by a mile.

@_@ Lot of Vita hate going on here...

The handheld looks and feels sweet to the touch, The battery lasts long enough for me, then again, I usually have plug outlet before it dies on mah. The only problem with it right now is the severe lack of games made for the vita @_@ Persona will be good, but it feels pretty dead for games this year.. and Monster hunter 4 is going to 3ds u_u/

But you can also get any PSP game that available on the PSN store ^_^

it doesn't use UMD's it uses little cartridges like the DS It is compatible, as long as you bought the game via PSN

i really wanna buy one so i can play gods eater burst 2 when it comes out its also a lot better for doing the monster claw when playing mhfu

A lot of the reviews kept saying how bad it is compared to 3ds so I'm a bit worried.

I have games for psp and a psp
but I only want the vita for persona XD so I don't care about the reviews because sometime they bullshit
