Pokemon

I still remember getting Pokemon Red and a Gameboy for Christmas, and playing it all day upstairs while my brother played Yellow. Great times, and it's still going! I haven't been too into the recent Pokemon games, but I love the first couple generations and the overall games. Pokemon Snap was fun too haha.

Any other Pokemon fans?

The first and second generations for the handhelds were the best.
But from there the series started going downhill with the addition of more. My brother and I still buy and play the newer releases, and always buy opposite versions from one another. The most recent one we played was Pokemon Black and Pokemon White. The storyline is pretty darn impressive in this one.

Yeah I agree, it kind of seems they were really short on ideas when they made the newest crop of Pokemon. I know there was some crappy Pokemon in the other generations but in this one we had Pokemon based off of; garbage, ice cream, lighting fixtures... etc :P

I tired Black or White a few months ago and it was okay. I never did end up beating it or getting close to the end though haha.

Haha, precisely. XD
A lot of the newer Pokemon were based off of inanimate objects. Like the ones you pointed out, along with the chandelier, giant snowflake, a boulder, etc.
If you ever played 4th Gen (Diamond and Pearl), you would also notice the additional forms the Electric/Ghost Pokemon named Rotom can obtain.
They are 5 household appliances. All of which are inanimate objects as well. XD

I liked the 1st ones better.

The later ones looked repetitive and odd.

LD-Skipper: Can you post a piccy of that pokemon.

I don't remember anything called a Rotom.

But chances are I might not have played any of the games with that in it.

My bro and I aren't hyped about Black 2 and White 2, but we are looking forward to playing them.
Also, Gen 5 is surprisingly the only Generation to receive a sequel rather than a third version like the previous titles.

I heard Black and White were the worst ones.

Black and White wasn't so interesting to me(I played it)~

Black and White 2 seems amazing though... *O*

My favorite version was Crystal and that remake for G/S was really good too~(HG/SS)

Never played the first gen but I played all of them after it though :O

I quite liked the story Black and White had going for it.
But the Pokemon on the other hand lacked the feel the original games had. The majority of the Pokemon in this Gen were either uncreative, or were just simply semi-rehashes of older Pokemon.

My deepest apologies for missing this.
Here is what Rotom looks like:

This is the generic form though.
It has five alternatives.

I preferred the first three generations.
I had Pokemon Yellow, Silver, Sapphire. Pokemon really bottomed out with character design after that.
I still prefer the 1st generation since It was the only generation I could be arsed to learn anything about.

I was actually a little pissed of when I saw my 10 year old cousin playing Pokemon White.
He was just running around catching first generation Pokemon with no trouble, but he had no idea what they were. It pissed me off something serious. He knew the name one of those household appliance pokemon but he had no idea what a Cubone was, nor could he name one of the 3 first gen starter pokemon.
