That isn't a bad idea.
You should also keep a close eye on the inactive sections as well.
One of the many things that people find appealing in a website is content.
Without content, the visitors will have nothing to see that interests them and Search Engine Bots will have nothing to process.
That is one of the biggest occurrences that can hurt your page rankings by a lot. Meaning little to no traffic will be directed toward your site.

if you only have RP Player into the member list, it would be almost impossible to get more activity into the other sections because they only watch the RP and nothing else
